In the game Animatronics, players take on the role of a law enforcement officer who becomes an animatronic.

As the detective in CASE: Animatronics, you're John Bishop. You continue to experience frightening dreams that force you back into consciousness. A mystery caller soon places a call to you; they despise Bishop because the latter stripped them of their most prized possessions. When the call comes through, Bishop knows immediately that the caller hates him because he took everything the antagonist held dear. On weekends and holidays, you can play with friends with in-game animatronics. However, you will need to overcome obstacles and puzzles at the level to secretly observe a creature with glowing red eyes. You will always be able to confront any creature that comes when you want it. But as soon as you switch on the police station lights, a mysterious figure attacks you.

This tablet is connected to different camera positions in the police department and coerces John to pay up. In CASE: Animatronics, you become a policeman who receives a mysterious call. From there, you enter the room that needs to be searched in order to solve the game's puzzles. The puzzles relate to the caller and their problems with the police. You continue to search for the electric control panel of the police department after receiving hints about Case: Animatronics. This is because you need to turn on the lights in order to complete your first goal. When you begin playing, you quickly hide in a closet when the animatronics start moving around. Because they did so, the lights at the police station turn off soon after. After performing this routine, you search for the panel and continue picking up throughout your second play.
